Mine Everything
Break any block in the world to collect resources. Wood, stone, iron, diamond โ the deeper you dig, the rarer the materials.
Build Anything
From a simple dirt hut to a massive castle โ Minecraft's building system is limited only by your imagination and the blocks you've gathered.
Survive the Night
When the sun sets, zombies, skeletons, and creepers emerge. Build shelter, light torches, and craft weapons to stay alive.
Craft & Upgrade
Combine resources at a crafting table to make tools, weapons, armor, and machines. Better materials mean better gear.
What is Minecraft?
Minecraft is the best-selling video game of all time, with over 300 million copies sold across all platforms. Created by Markus "Notch" Persson and released in 2011 by Mojang, Minecraft is a sandbox game set in an infinite procedurally generated world made entirely of blocks. Players can mine resources, craft tools, build structures, and survive against monsters โ or simply explore and create in Creative mode with unlimited blocks.
The browser version available here is Minecraft Classic โ the original 2009 version of the game, released for free by Mojang to celebrate Minecraft's 10th anniversary. It's a pure building experience with 32 block types and supports up to 32 players in the same world. While it lacks the survival mechanics and modern features of the full game, it's a perfect way to experience the original Minecraft in your browser with no download required.

Minecraft Survival Tips (Full Game)
1. Your first priority is wood
The moment you spawn, punch trees. You need wood to craft a crafting table, which unlocks the full crafting grid. From wood you can make wooden tools, which let you mine stone faster. From stone you can make stone tools, which are significantly more durable. This progression โ wood โ stone โ iron โ diamond โ is the core loop of Minecraft's early game.
2. Build shelter before your first night
You have about 10 minutes of in-game daylight before monsters spawn. Use that time to gather wood, craft basic tools, and build a small shelter. It doesn't need to be pretty โ a 5ร5 dirt box with a door is enough. The first night is the most dangerous moment in any Minecraft run.
3. Light up your base
Monsters spawn in darkness. Place torches everywhere inside and around your base to prevent spawning. Torches are cheap โ just a stick and a piece of coal or charcoal. Charcoal is made by smelting wood logs in a furnace, so you don't even need to find coal to get started.
4. Never dig straight down
This is the most important rule in Minecraft. Digging straight down can drop you into a cave, a lava pool, or a ravine with no warning. Always dig at an angle or use a staircase pattern when mining downward.
5. Find iron as fast as possible
Iron tools and armor are a massive upgrade over stone. Iron is found underground, typically between Y-levels 0 and 63. Once you have iron, you can make a bucket (to move water and lava), a shield (to block attacks), and full armor that makes you much harder to kill.
